Today marks Data Privacy Day, an international event designed to raise awareness and promote privacy and data protection best practices. The day was originally initiated by the Council of Europe and marks the anniversary of important legislation intended to protect Europeans from unwarranted intrusions to their privacy, especially online.
There isn’t a lot to celebrate over the last year — by any measure, 2014 was a truly terrible year for data privacy and security. How bad? Take our quick data privacy quiz to find out. By participating, you’ll also be entered in our sweepstakes. You can read the full rules for participation within our survey form below.
Submit your responses no later than February 28, 2015 to be eligible for a chance to win one of five $50 (or local currency equivalent) Amazon gift cards. Please tell us your email address and the country where you live for eligibility and so we can notify you if you’ve won. We’ll announce the winners later on Collaborista. Good luck!
